Ichilampady: Preparations are in full swing for the 14th annual public Sri Ganeshotsava celebrations, scheduled to be held with deep devotion and various religious and cultural programs on September 13th and 14th under the auspices of the Public Sri Ganeshotsava Committee. The festivities will take place with the blessings of Sri Shubhakar Hegde, Ichilampady Beedu, and under the Vedic guidance of Harish Bhat Kodimbala.

As part of the celebrations, the arrival of the idol of Lord Ganesha will take place on Sunday, September 13th at 5:30 PM. On Monday, September 14th, various Vedic rituals including Devata Prarthana, Punyahavachana, and Gana Homa will commence from 5:30 AM. The sacred installation (Pratishtha) of Lord Ganesha will be held during the auspicious Kanya Lagna muhurtha at 7:15 AM.

Religious Assembly and Cultural Extravaganza

Bhajan programs by various troupes will begin from 8:30 AM, followed by a religious public meeting organized at 11:00 AM. Maha Pooja, distribution of prasada, and Annasantarpane (mass community dining) will take place around 12:45 PM. From 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM, various cultural programs will be presented by students of the Dakshina Kannada District Panchayat Senior Primary School, Nerla, along with local residents.

A grand procession (Shobhayatra) of Sri Maha Ganapati will commence at 3:30 PM, featuring traditional Gombe Kunitha and other vibrant cultural performances as key highlights. The procession is expected to draw immense attention from devotees and the general public.

The Public Sri Ganeshotsava Committee has earnestly requested devotees to attend in large numbers and seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha.
